Terms of Service

Effective: August 17, 2026

These Terms govern your use of MyNotes. By creating an account or purchasing Premium, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. You may use the local editor without creating an account.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an MyNotes account. If the law where you live requires parental or guardian consent at a higher age, you may use an account only with valid authorization. You must be legally able to enter into a paid subscription or have permission from the person responsible for the payment method.

2. Your account

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password and devices, and notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised. Do not share credentials in a way that allows unauthorized access to another person’s private content.

3. Local-first storage

MyNotes can store writing locally in your browser without an account. Local browser storage is convenient but is not a guaranteed backup. Browser cleanup, private-browsing restrictions, device loss, software changes, or clearing site data can permanently remove local content.

Back up important writing. If content matters to you, use available export/backup tools and keep your own copy. Premium cloud sync reduces device-loss risk but is not a substitute for keeping independent backups of irreplaceable material.

4. Premium subscriptions

MyNotes may offer paid Premium features such as private cloud sync, cloud photo backup, multi-device access, and additional account functionality. Prices, billing frequency, trial information, and taxes are shown before checkout.

Unless the checkout page says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel through the billing controls made available in your account. Cancellation normally stops future renewals while allowing access through the end of the already-paid billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where a specific refund policy presented at checkout says otherwise.
